Directed and dynamically managed a school specializing in children with academic and social-emotional  needs.Served school age children grades 1 through 12, including adult transitional plans. Reported to the Regional Director. 

  • Oversaw hiring and human resources for school; interviewing, contract writing and training 
  • Developed specialized video training programs to close skills gaps in recently employed hirees, published, directed and oversaw http://www.highroadconnects.com as a portal for new employees to watch educational videos and take assessments based on necessary information.
  • Direct supervisor of certified professionals, coached teachers in probing student skills to develop Individual Learning Plans for students with special needs. Ensured curriculum standards were implemented in each classroom setting. Personally ensured that behavioral and academic goals met state law and curriculum requirements, and that legally guaranteed modifications and special services were implemented to the highest standard. Conducted in classroom observations and gave weekly one on one feedback to all certified staff. 
  • Edited and shaped students’ Individual Education Plans(IEP) and reports, insured met all legal requirements and followed SMART goal format.

  • Prepared weekly lesson plans for students using Understanding by Design methodology, as well as reading enrichment and art lessons following the Common Core.
