My Logo

When I was in grad school there was a project we were assigned where I had to create a brand. The idea being that summarizing who you are in an emblem can quickly tell people who you are and what you believe in.

As a teacher and creator it’s important that people see my style and understand how much I care about creating a quality product and practicing good teaching.

The flower of course stands out; it’s a dual emblem, first daisies have long been my favorite flower. They are perennials, so they come back year after year and always put out fresh blooms. Like me they are low maintenance, if you let them go they will shed their own heads and when it buries under soil it will generate a new plant. To me that’s what good practice in teaching is. Creating clean and clear, yet engaging lessons yields results long after it has been “planted”

The circular enclosure represents the never ending cycle of creativity. One awesome project leads to gaining new skills, and that leads to the desire to apply them somewhere else.

Teach. Write. Create. is a summary of my life. I love learning by creating. Writing is a passion that I have taken beyond my journaling, and applied to creating children’s books and publishing my lessons on teachers pay teachers. Teaching allows me to interact with people in meaningful ways. I deeply enjoy interacting with people on an intelligent level. I was literally born a teacher; before I could even walk I was showing my little sister how to pop the Ernie out of the pop and play.

I hope that in the future if you see a daisy, you think of me!
